July 30, dinnertime, he's looking pretty awake. We took him for another walk in the Snugli- this time I got to wear him. He looked around for a while before zonking out. We were getting congratulations from neighbors we hadn't even met. I guess people noticed the big pregnant lady walking her dog every day.
August 1, changing the diaper, again. He's got this miraculous way of peeing through his diapers. That is, Monica will notice a wet spot on her pants while his outfit managed to stay dry. We sized him up to the "1" size diapers, 8 to 14 lbs, thinking he needed more absorbent capacity. Didn't help.
He's a big eater. We put him on the scale today, once with me and once with Monica. He's either 9.5 or 11 lbs now. Let's hope for 9.5; he's definitely "filling out," with a rounder face and less redundant skin. Next pediatrician's appointment is Friday. We'll ask about infanthood obesity.

Wow, Brian's getting so big already! It's a little funny that while he looks pretty awake, Monica looks like she's got her eyelids glued open...
