Sightseeing

I’m getting way behind!  It has already been two weeks since Kermit, Kelly, Ian and Emme headed back to Phoenix, but here are some pictures from their visit.  I didn’t get a lot most days; Thursday we went to the zoo, but I forgot my camera.  Friday we did a walk around greenlake that took all morning.  We found a cool flower design:

IMG_2206 We also stopped at the playground, which is why it took 3 hours to cover 3 miles!

Sunday we hit lots of touristy highlights.  The pike place market:

IMG_2226 In the entryway they have a huge tank called “Windows on Washington” and Eli was fascinated by the scuba diver inside.

IMG_2228 The next exhibit was lots of big tidepools where you could touch the critters!

Emme wanted to squat on the divider between inside and outside:

We had some fun with cutouts:

Saw the rest of the fish (and otters and seals), then went outside to the fountain…

IMG_2256 IMG_2257 ..then on to the ferry.  What a beautiful day for a ferry ride!

IMG_2268 We explored Bainbridge island for a while, had some ice cream, then got on the next ferry back.  On the ride back we could even see some of the air show that was going on over Lake Washington!  We had a great time with everyone and were sorry to see them go!
